To accelerate oxidation, spray the Corten steel with a mixture of 1/3 hydrochloric acid and 2/3 water. Leave for 48 hours then rinse with clean water. You can repeat the operation if necessary.
Once the desired oxidation level is reached, we recommend applying a rust inhibitor such as Owatrol Rustol to fix the oxidation.
Be careful of rust drips during the oxidation phase, they can damage the support on which the Corten steel elements are placed (tiles, wooden deck...)

Note:
Salt significantly damages Corten.
Upon receipt, stairs must be stored out of their packaging to avoid disturbing the oxidation that can occur in contact with moisture.
The superficial mill scale plates are inherent to Corten production and are an integral part of the product.
